Academic essay writing is essential and significant in the academic lives of students in the secondary school level, in tertiary education level, and in the higher education level. In the secondary school level, the students are taught and have to learn about structured format of an academic essay as a tool for enhancing and improving their writing skills. The essay structure of the five paragraph essay is extensively used by secondary school teachers as a way of introducing their students to the concepts of how to correctly and properly structure an essay.
